Summary of post: Full time sole charge daily nanny
Family based in Highfields require 5-day Mon - Fri week sole charge nanny to take responsibility for 5 year old and 8 month old baby. All emotional, physical, development and stimulation needs are to be met, Responsible attitude to dietary needs. All nursery/child related duties to be
included.

Clare due to start school in Sept, currently attend local Montessori nursery,
Family have had 1 previous nanny, left due to partner relocating.
Family have a relaxed approach to life and are keen that nanny feels part of the family. Are keen that there is lots of one to one love with and for the children, hugs and cuddles.
Above all this nanny should be one who clearly 'oozes love and affection for the children'. |
You will be / responsible for or provide -
- School run to Gracefields Primary - circa 15 mins, 9 miles 9.00am and 3.30pm during term time
- Prepare food and give evening meal to children - balanced healthy diet, mum not adverse to the odd chicken nugget - in moderation!
- Daily tidy children's rooms - change children's bedding weekly
- Undertake children's washing and ironing
- Polish shoes daily
- Make packed lunches
- Assist with home work
- Attend doctors/ dental/ hair appointment as necc
- Develop a social scene for the Clare in relation to new friends at school
- Research and take to after school activities as the children grow to want and need them
- Under take trips during school holidays to areas such as zoo etc
- In school holidays, ensure Clare is stimulated
- In event of parents being late, bath the children on request
Responsibility for Harvey - you will be responsible for or / provide
- Responsible for sterilising and making all bottles for Mon - Fri
- All social, physical, stimulation and emotional care and well being
- Cook home made fresh food and provide freezer packs for use over weekend
- All baby washing, ironing and cleaning - including room and bedding, change weekly
- As baby grows take to mums and tots, jo jingles etc
- Develop social network for baby
- Meet parents with baby to attend baby clinic, or in the event attend with baby
General
When cleaner (who attends twice weekly) is on holiday, nanny will be expected to run vacuum around.
Load and unload dishwasher as needs be.
Unload washing machine and hang washing out to dry.
Grandma comes to stay for 2/3 days every 3 months.
Points to note
Nanny should be nicely spoken, no use of slang.
Family approach to discipline is one of Time out by self in room until apology is given.
Encourage the use of good manners in the children.
Invite friends back and develop a social network for the children.
